In yet another attempt to get people to games…

The Dolphins will open up a nightclub inside Land Shark Stadium.

The Miami Dolphins have announced that they will be opening a night club at Land Shark Stadium during the season, which goes perfect with the VIP board room owner Stephen Ross has assembled.

Ross promised he would make Dolphins games an entertaining experience and he is doing his best – and worst – to deliver. We expect a gentleman’s club with a name like “XXX Fantasy Football” to be the next major announcement.

Pretty soon the actual football game will be the halftime show and fans will be chosen to enter the game depending on if they are buying a bottle and dressed appropriately.

The club will be co-promoted by Ocean Drive and hopefully some of the models who grace the pages of the slick fashion magazine will be regulars at the club to cheer on the Dolphins. That would make it worth going to.

The 4,500 square foot club will be located on Gate G sub-concourse an will be called (drum roll, please), the Ocean Drive Club. Dolphins CEO Mike Dee said the club will be a VIP-only venue and can comfortably accommodate about 250 guests.

It will feature an “orange carpet” for fans to line and gawk at the celebs like Venus and Serena Williams, J-Lo and Marc Anthony, T-Pain and his autotune sound crew and others walking into a world the average fan cannot enter.

“This way, any celebrities, former football players, or other sports stars who are attending the game will be seen as they enter the stadium headed for the VIP club,” Dee told People Magazine.

Way to stay in touch with the hardcore Dolfan, Dee.

No word on if a game ticket also counts as the cover charge, but our guess is it won’t. And more than a likely wearing a Ronnie Brown jersey won’t get you past the velvet rope, unless you are Ronnie Brown.

The club will have the standard flat-screen TVs and top shelf bar and private areas for those big ballers.

MIAMI – Marc Anthony is the latest celebrity musician to join forces with the Miami Dolphins.

The team scheduled a news conference to be held Tuesday in New York for a “major corporate announcement” with Anthony.

It was unclear whether Anthony will become a minority owner. That’s what happened last month when singer Gloria Estefan and her husband, producer Emilio Estefan, bought a small stake in the team.

New Dolphins owner Stephen Ross also began a partnership in May with Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville enterprise, which includes Land Shark Lager. Buffett has yet to accept Ross’ invitation to become a minority owner, but the Dolphins’ stadium has been renamed Land Shark Stadium for this season. Buffett has also written a song for the team.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and ESPN president George Bodenheimer will attend the news conference, the Dolphins said. The team appears on ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” on Oct. 12 against the New York Jets, and Anthony may perform at the game.

Officials with the Dolphins and ESPN didn’t immediately return calls seeking further details. Anthony’s publicist also did not return calls.

Anthony is married to singer-actress Jennifer Lopez. He has sold more than 10 million albums and is also an actor.

Ross, a New York real estate billionaire, completed his purchase of the Dolphins in January from Wayne Huizenga and quickly set out to rebrand the franchise. He has said he wants to fill up the stands with “a blend of entertainment and winning football.”
